A sunken jungle garden created on a shaded street, designed to bring depth and atmosphere to an otherwise enclosed setting. Lush planting introduces a sense of movement and life where light is limited.
To enhance brightness inside the home, light wells were drilled from the garden into the kitchen below, allowing natural light to filter through both spaces and connecting house and garden in a single gesture.
